I kind of don't like this one, but it can't be helped.It was an old drawing I had scanned last summer,and I wanted some coloring practice. My lineart skills need some Jenny-Craig'in as well.
Haha, anyway, I had fun with it. Her head was originally very disproportionate, so it was very hard to make it look right. Still looks off, doesn't it? Haha...I'm very sleepy.Anyway, I spent maybe a half hour on the lines. An hour on the girl's color. Literally less than 2 minutes on the animal's color and the background combined. Heehee. So sleepy.
Vine texture is not my own. It's a brush on Corel.
I wanted to post a journal entry and catch up on the deviations/comments and such, but I wanted somthign to post before I go to Missouri tommorrow, and it took longer than I expected. I still have to pack, so I guess I'll do it Friday?
Packing, then bed.

I bet you used the 2B pencil color black when you drew the outline. You should use the same brush but a lighter color this time. I usually use a lighter grey when I do my outlines. It comes out smoother.
Anyways, I really love the colors you used. I'm so use to using dark blue and indigo or violets. I like the blue-greenish color. It's refreshing. I aslo like the vines behind them. Usually my drawings have no backgrounds, but I'm trying to change.
All in all, I like it.
