Cú Chulainn and the Morrigan from the Ulster Cycle.

CúChulainn aka the Hound of Ulster- arguably one of the most famous and ferocious warriors in celtic mythology.

When I think of CúChulainn, I get an image of a young man with intense passion. Someone who leapt into his destiny, with the full knowledge that the path he chose would lead ultimately to both uncomparable glory and tragedy.

The Morrigan- War goddess, and in some versions, spurned would- be lover of CúChulainn. She later goes all out to try and make him regret it...

My first contact with Celtic mythology was reading the Isle of Destiny by Kenneth C. Flint. The vividness of the characters immediately stood out to me then, and my later stumbling on the original legends which inspired the novel gave them a permanent place in my mental resources.
