I've been playing a lot of Pokemon: Soul Silver lately, and after making it through Victory Road I decided it was time for a break. I wanted to knit but don't have the time for a moogle or sackboy at the moment, and my DS didn't have a case... so I knitted one in the shape of a Zubat.It's all handmade; the body and wings are knitted and the ears and tail are crocheted. The DS fits neatly through his mouth. ^,..,^
If I were to make more of these, what Pokemon do you think would be cute? Relatively solid-color ones (or whose body is solid-color) would work best. I'm tempted to try a Victreebell next. ^_^

Pretty much; to make the wing hold it's shape I cut a few little strips of fun foam and sewed around them until they were covered.

That zubat is awesome. I like zubats though I don't really enjoy their evolutions appearance.

Zubat was one of my favorites. This is perfect and awesome! Creative idea! You make me envy your knitting skills! Mine are not nearly as good yet. One day though! After much practice.

As for suggestions, both the simple bug cocoon pokemon. Cocoona and ... that other one. Jigglypuff. Geodude might work out ok. Slow..bro? The one without the shell. Horsie? The bigger one of the evolutions shaped like a seahorse. Snorlax would be pretty hilarious. And lastly...Magikarp! Make the useless useful. Of course, then he'll turn into Gyrados and kick your ass, but it's totally worth it.
I must say, I really love your creative nerd-knitting efforts.
