Description This I was doing for an art project in my Contemporary Art Class. Which basically means we play with photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The project required we take a photo of something and use the brush tool to intergrate it into the picture you have. You should have about 50-50 photo and digital. Now, for the submitted project, I used a picture of Mt. Fuji I found on a creative commons website, but I didn't want to submit it because then I'd have to give credit to that person, and make my image creative commons as well. I did not want to do that, so I just used the Fuji photo as a reference and painted my own mountain, thereby making this picture entirely mine. This isn't the one I submitted for class, but call it an updated version. I think I almost like this version better than the other one... *shifty eyes*

I almost made more than one kind of tree. But I'm glad in the end I was too lazy and made them all maple. (Though they look nothing like Japanese maples XD) I think it looks better this way.

maples are great! They are the only kind of trees I recognize when I see the leaves

I think my favourite kind of tree is the ginko. They have fan-shaped leaves that look so cool. XD I almost did a ginko tree, but the only brush I found for ginko leaves didn't have a creative commons license. And the profs say that it needs to be creative commons if I'm going to use it.

Thanks, the quote in my signature is actually a line from one of my OCs (Invira Eshnarath) which she at one point says in my book. (The book that I will one day write, probably, maybe. XD) By far she's my favourite character, so I kinda spoil her a bit.

wow you wrote that???? Why am I even surprised? When you write that book (which I trully believe you will) I'll definitely buy it! Especially if there'll be more quotes like that
And I was wrecking my brain for who might be this Invira...

Under the default brushes of Photoshop, if you scroll down far enough, they have lots of nifty little brushes. They have ones for grass and leaves and stars. I just picked two colours and made a few brush strokes.

You can try downloading 30-day trial versions from their official website if you're interested. It's fun to play with, even just for a little while. :3
