well yes, I had read comics a lot of time befor ethe advent of HB movies, so my expectations was different.
( but I liked the Del Toro's movies, at last they were funny and well constructed)

Nice job on the drawing! I had the same feeling from the preview, haven't had a chance to see it yet tho.

They tried to cram as much content from the comics as possible in the movie, which makes it much too fast-paced for Hellboy. All of the atmosphere is lost.
Also, I didn't really like the characterisation of Hellboy and Dr. Bruttenholm. They were much nicer in the comics (and the old movies).
What was really cool is that they made Alice into more of an action girl, which worked really good.
Oh, and the furries are going to like Daimyo in his cat form xD Make of that what you want. He's different, but I'm not sure if that's better or worse.

Actually, if this movie is a success, I'd be interesting how close to the comic the sequel will be. They tried to put the whole main story and some parts of the B.P.R.D. storylines in this one.

mm this is a risk. There are a lot of charachters , so if they mix all together in a pair of movies, it'd be a messΒ

Well, for some reason, the BPRD-characters from Hellboy's time, like Abe, Liz, Kate or Roger were completely absent from the movie, while they, as you know, included Daimio, so let's see how they mix characters in the future.
