looks like a ship's door, fantastic to see so many different redish tones. The composition is very effective.

Thanks Frank.

You are right, this is a ship door from a old whale hunter.

I have a big fetish for ships.

Good job, simple patterns but interest is enhanced by the texture of the peeling/rusting surfaces

I love these... love them for their intentional geometrism and organic decay.

freaking awesome!

i love deterioration... its my fave thing to photograph and this just goes in that section of my brain...

it is a beauty... i think the only thing i'd change is make the black outlining border a smidge (like maybe 2 pixels, if that) bigger... eeek! thats not much but it'd give it a crisp feel to it...

i don't know what it is about red doors, but there are alot of houses in older sections of citys that have red doors, must have been a fad.

Awesome color and texture combination. it's splendidly natural.

Is there any sort of special technique you used?

Thanks for the comment.

It's a while since I shot this one and made the post processing. The technique is probably just slight saturation boost and unsharp mask in Photoshop.

alright. thank you. I wish one day to have something close to the same skill you possess... so technique tips really help.

this is amaizing , ur photos is so rich with colors , r u doing any filtering on it , even that u capture an old door with rust and old paint , but the photo still so clear , not pale or something this is just amaizing

Nice texture, both in the paint on the door as well as the rust and discoloration on the frame and door handles. This is another one of those shots that you have to see in full view to truly appreciate.

Further, the red door clashes nicely with the orange, browns, and whites of the frame.

All that being said, this image seems like it's missing something. Something small.. I can't quite put my finger on what.

Still an awesome shot.
