Lovely capture. At first I thought this was a painting which had been seemingly clawed by some feral beast! Like a wild animal frantically trying to flee it's captors back into the wilderness, to freedom.Β

an amazing display of natures imagination. stagnant reflects over dynamic movement.

absolutely amazing photograph... (full view is a must)... the wonderful textures, colours and the dimensions you've created in just a reflection... Superb... I really love the very subtle transitions between the reflections and the ground, its almost plays a trick on the eye... into becoming something totally dream like and juxtaposed... amazing...

Thank you very much Andrew for your in depth comment and the of course.
It's rare that someone browses my gallery and goes straight to the subtle deviations.

ah your welcome! I feel it necessary to take a look at the whole of someones gallery... you may find something that you don't expect! I particularly like your gallery... it has a modern, vibrant and simplistic quality... but yet it still portrays elements of thoes more nostalgic moments... it has that Scandinavian appeal to it! I put you in my watch... I'd be happy to see more of your future works!

Thank you very much Andrew for the comment and the . It's the first time I've had a longer comment on my gallery than "cool colours" or "awesome stuff".

yummy... beautyfull picture. love the contrast between the blue's and the yellow, broken by the vertical waterplants (of which i lost the correct word). Somebody should take some time to make a painting out of this (and add a subtle hidden hand coming out of the water in bottom area)

impressive shot...

Very "left of centre"... ITs so unique.. well done... It has such a archetypal "world" feel to it. Not an easy thing to capture.

Thanks for the comment Karen.
What do you mean by "left of centre"... ?

I had to look up the word archetypal in a dictionary, as I understand it you are talking about a world billion years ago, am I right?

Aquiel In reply to Octavus [2005-01-16 08:30:38 +0000 UTC]

Lets see... "left of centre" it means radical, um not mainstream.. coming from left field..bent. Im always complimented if someone says that of me or something I present Whats your "term" for that?

Octavus In reply to Aquiel [2005-01-16 16:36:21 +0000 UTC]

I feel complimented, thanks.

My vocabulary in english is rather basic so my terms for that would be somewhere between creative and original.

this is very lovely.
i like how you managed to keep it sort of dark
(like a sunset)
and at the same time it's not sad, to me anyway.
the reeds sticking out of the wate give it a painterly effect.
which makes this seem rather like "water lillies" etc.

great job.

This is wonderful. i love how the clear beautiful sky is reflected in the dark, murky water. Makes for an interesting effect.

The texture of this photo is incredibly intriguing. I didn't realize I was looking at a pond/water at first - and I love the feeling of discovery that I get every time I figure out what I'm looking at!

The colors and shadows also make it look a little Pollock-esque

I also love the feeling of discovery when looking at photograps and I am glad this photo made you feel that way. I like the Pollock-esque comparison. Pollock is...

very interesting pictures. I love the fact that half of the pictures as a blue tint to it, while the other have is dark and grey, it makes for a creepy picture. The picture just grabs my attention.
