They are passion flowers! I got these at a nursery this summer and the flowers grew on a vine...I seem to remember they came in different colours too.

Now that I can understand !!.... I think it's because of the circular shape in the middle with the rays coming outwards.... my interpretation.....

oooo passion flower I love that plant. Ive seen many photos of this flower but yours presents everything in totally alternative way... it is amazing that you can look at passiflora for that point of view.
