I'm just going to update this here with an idea of how his colors look now ;DHere's a little wip sketch to show what I've been working on recently.
Yay new oc references~ His design hasn't changed too much, though I have been trying to make him thinner and less muscled than in his last ref from a year ago. xD I don't even know what was going on in that...
can you tell I've been eyeballing utahraptor anatomy lately? >>

Haha I'm working on it! I still have to flesh out some info but just about everything on the ref itself is colored and ready to go c:

The line work and the anatomy is all beautiful! You handle feathers so well, no matter where they are! *w*
The only thing I would say about this one is his body looks think in comparison to his legs, it could just be due to his large wingy muscles though. meh, I still really enjoy this. :3

The only thing I'd say looks a little off is the way his forearms are held, having them extended makes him seem a little front heavy and unbalanced, maybe try tucking them back somewhat?

Yeah I think I see what you mean, that was kind of bugging me earlier when I was trying to balance him out. I'll definitely try easing them back some. xD

Tanny tanuth what can I say about him...Well I cannot really give anatomy advice cause I am no where near at the level you are so... But I feel bad not being able to, and I dunno what to add to which that had already been said!
I think he looks great and so dragon-manly in his ways! LOL I also love his feathered little feets :3

Stop having such awesome anatomy- it's making me jealous xD
I am adoring that face <3 The only thing I can really that looks awkward is his right foot- the toe looks strange held like that. I would imagine it's held similar to the other toes when being lifted? That being said I have very little knowledge of Utahraptor or Velociraptor or any other animal that used to hold it's claws in such a way.
...Also I agree with the comment above that the wing fingers do look a bit skinny. Maybe flesh them out a little? The bones must be toothpicks, and I can't imagine it would have the strength to lift Tanny here~
Actually his flank looks a little small for his leg :/ Again- I know very little about raptor anatomy here and I'm going off a fresh eye but a quick glance at google seems to say the same? It looks like it could be larger and maybe the knee could come down just a little bit? Forgive me if I am completely wrong~
Also, as a last side note- his barrel like chest is wonderful <3 I'm guessing he has a good pair of lungs in there xD

I think I see what you mean about the flank, it may be the fact that the pubis isnt as pronounced as the pubis in most bipedial dinosaurs

Oh I see what you mean. But would you say the knee could still be taken down a little and the flank extended? It just seems a little small for a leg that's fully extended. As I said, I'm not *too* familiar with dinosaur/dragon anatomy.

I'm not too sure myself, my general rule is that the knee doesnt go much further than the bottom of the body on my bipedial dragons, but they have the sweeping pubis, Rasa for example: [link] and a Utahraptor for comparison: [link]
I think what you're probably seeing would be fixed if the extended pubis was added, I think so anyway. The upper part of the leg in birds is rather short as it acts as an extension of the hip and must also tuck nicely into the body during flight. But if the leg was on a quadruped animal I'd say that it would need to be lengthened, if that makes any sense c:

Haha nah, their inner toes do bend back like that at the joint if that's what you're talking about. xD they aren't really built like the other digits. c:
I do see what you mean about the knee, I can go back and lengthen it some. I'm not sure about the flank though, I'll see what it looks like when I fix the legs up a bit more.

I think the fingers on his wings are waaaay too skinny, and his hind legs look a bit weird too, at the calf, I think it might be too long. This looks awesome, other than that.

I think you're right about he wings. I'll see what I can do about them.
As for the calves, someone else had stated that the knees looked a little high, so that might be it.
