exposition for the WHOLE FAMILY!!!!
but yup, we've got us a massive memory rewriting, though our heroes got lucky and happened to be awake at the time.
dream mist and the concept of munna/musharna has always stuck out as quite exploitable and creepy to me, so yup, plot device
farenheit 451 and 1984 are the dominant influences for this dystopia.
I didn't make a direct joke about it to keep from breaking the more serious tone, but note that they're having their serious exposition meeting at a little tykes table set with chairs way too small :3
broke this page up into 2 parts since it's big/keep the next part separate from here so this exposition can stand alone a bit better.

yeah I know that feel, I'll end up skimming them if I feel I can still get the gist of them with the art, and oh thanks, I do try to keep the word count down as much as I can, but at times you just need to lay out a lot of specifics to get a solid foundation of something out in the open and coherent. glad you find this element interesting

As I said: the Dream Mist stuff is so great~ It really adds a disturbing, twisted underside to your nuzlocke

oh ho, if you think this is a disturbing underside and you liked it, then BOY will you like some of the characters later on, particularly N. I had to be careful how I incorporated twisted elements in, so I've been building things up early on, fennels element started early as 10, Bianca's has hinted at things since pg 7, that case of where foreshadowing and stuff really pays off and helps the elements have more payoff and can be more believable. I've always been a fan of having contrasting changes in tone, so these twisted notions make for surprising elements going by the art. thanks a lot :3

oh thanks, I've been getting sick of the standard speech cliches like " this is a dangerous mission, you may not come out unwounded, if you're brave enough step forward" , so I figured out a different way of saying it, it sounded funny in my head, so I went with that quote, glad you like
