This really cute, Remus is such a sweetie. Remus actually had more in common with Severus than James and Sirius.

So true. Too bad Severus didn't see it that way.

This is really cute... I like that you are able to convey what is happening with images , alone. I love Lupin. Even though I don't agree with him never standing up for Snape, I understand why he didn't. He was afraid that if he stood up to James and Sirius, that they might reject him and not want to continue being his friend. I think the same can be applied to Snape. He ran around with Mulciber and Avery, despite his friendship with Lily. I think he was afraid to lose their companionship because, being a poor halfblood with a Muggle-born as aΒ best friendΒ in a house full of wealthy purebloods, would otherwise make him an easy target for harassment.

I definitely can see Lupin attempting to be friendly with Snape. I love the look of innocence on Lupin's face-- it's obvious that he means well and doesn't want there to be any bad feelings. I love the expression of bewilderment and hesitation on Snape's face, and that he eventually reciprocates the friendly gesture.

Thanks.
I also think that Lupin could have been afraid of his friends outing him as a werewolf if he 'betrayed' them by befriending Snape. But just like any kind of school, friends are everything, and with a place where you spend most of your growing up life- it's basically what defines you in your adult life too- so yeah, I can totally see why they wouldn't have wanted anyone to see them being friendly to each other.
But yeah, thx again. ^.^

Yeah, they probably actually wouldn't have, but for a boy that had been rejected by everyone, he was probably really paranoid and that's one reason why he never would have stood up for Snape, because he didn't want to lose his first and only friends.

Yeah, at first it was all just the same, but I knew I ought to make the bg change subtly too, just cuz it looks more natural that way... but yeah, trust me, I thought of being lazy... xD;

Yeah, def sad, but accurate to the original story and concepts of the characters from the books.

You did such a great job on the facial expressions. You really got your subject matter across well with them. Bravo!

Sweet drawing, I still don't think Lupin was any better, though.He disliked Severus as much as his friends did, he just didn't have the urge to actually bully him.

That's not necessarily true. We don't actually know how Lupin was as a kid, only that he felt rejected and alone before he went to school and for the first time had friends. While I don't think he and Snape would have been best friends, I still think Lupin was more tolerable- more understanding in a sense since he himself was afraid of being rejected for what he was.
Lupin as an adult knew that he hadn't been a very good kid, allowing his friends to bully Snape- but I honestly don't think he would have done so even if he had the chance- but he did recognize they were all basically idiots as children xD;

That's true, I also don't think he would have bullied Severus, but he didn't like him either. And he also didn't seem to like him as an adult. Justbsaying that I can't see this happening really. But I still like the idea that it could have been like that.

I agree! Lupin was supposed to be the responsible one. I think you should draw more of the marauders!

An interesting concept...
Adds one more degree or realism to the story if you ask me.
