Spartans are modified supersoldiers, born to fight and they have a much better amor than ODST's.
And now think about ODST's with such an armor and all those modications. XD
Why didn't they do that yet? Maybe because it's fun to have enemies. ;D

Nope, Chief was a spartan. A super soldier, augmented and
trained for war since childhood. ODSTs are like regular
marines, but more skilled and specialized. However spartans
are better in all categories. Sadly...

According to the canon fiction, the ODSTs are the guys who released the Flood from the depths of the Halo.

When Bungie released Halo 2, they made mention in that gameΒ about the ODST releasing the Flood.

Yeah it was the covenant in the game I believe for those marines it was a case of wrong place wrong time because the flood was capable of breaking down those doors in that room (also I laughed when tyger said "look at what I said 'official fiction'" when you clearly see tyger says 'canon fiction' so correct me if I'm wrong please so I know completely but isnt canon like a didn't happen side story kinda thing?

Oh darn! I read about that just a few weeks ago, I should remember! What it was for was a type of space gun when Harvest was fighting the covenent. That's when I first read about it! If I read that book, again, I might be able to tell you, cuz it was in there somewhere!

Actually, what they used on Harvest was a Mass Driver that was used for shooting cargo pods into space, but they used it as an improvised MAC when Brutes began their attack.

Sometimes it feels like it is cuz Halo is my favorite series in both game and book. When I forget something about it I get irritated XD "I'm too young to have memory problems!" lol

yeah, good point^^ I'm just glad I remember most of the actual species names for the Covenent (Jiralhanae (Brute), Unggoy (Grunt), Kig-yar (Jackal), Sangheili (Elite), etc.)
