Today in class I learned this new technique and was messing around with my pics and came up with this. I thought it looked better than the original upload, so I am changing it to this with the dynamic angst flash effect. So if you don't like it let me know ; D I thought the other version had too much empty space in it.... FLASH!!!!

Though I'm not entirely pleased with the execution of the series, I was really pleased to see the Sakura Wars / Sakura Taisen V video game characters getting their own OVA series. Unfortunately, the show focuses mostly on the game's playable character, Taiga, running around in drag. Doh.

But I was pretty attracted to the villain, a pharaoh's spirit who wants to take over New York with his cat-girl slave thing. And that's all well and good, but they didn't say the villain's name until vol. 2 of the series. Imagine my delight when it was King Tutankhamun! AHAHAHAHA oh, Sakura Wars... He has a nice, angsty past in the OVAs, and he's hot, so I wanted to draw him.

I don't think he looks much like the anime's depiction, but meh. I combined a lot of photos and anime shots to make the background, and I tried to make it look like I drew it ;D Tut is stuck waist down in the sand and despairs over what his kingdrom has become. Also; laziest staff ever.

I suck because I still can't find a coloring style I like. Really, I prefer cel-shading, but I'm trying to advance. So yeah.
