im very attached to her already.
i used a base for this [credit to =PileOfJunk for that!]. this is cause i can never really design if im drawing the whole thing? i get distracted by the pose and the likes so i used one of the adoptables bases i use on my adopts account. it was originally a doodle and wasnt gonna come on here but.. i rly liked it?

her name is gabrielle manuela castro gomez
follows the common naming system. all of the names are common names except for manuela, named after manuela beltran. a notable historical figure who started a peasant revolt against spanish taxation in 1780. she owned her own small business, and at the time, was one of the few in the region who could read and write. she is 18 years old colombia officially became a country when it won its indepedance from spain in 1819. the age system in hetalia was confusing me a lot, but switzerland became a country at about the same time [29 years later] and is 18 years old, so thats where i got her age from. her birthday is on july 20th july 20th is when colombians celebrate their independence. in 1810 on that date, patriots rioted and protested against spanish rule in bagota. later they were given temporary independence, which later on became permanent. shes generally very friendly, welcoming and pretty open minded apparently colombia seeks to trade and have generally good relations with everyone which is why shes generally friendly, welcoming and open minded. also a lot of the stereotypes i found [other than the ones about drugs] said colombian women are friendly, welcoming and open minded. she doesnt hold grudges against people for very long, and is generally very forgiving again, due to colombias aim to have good relations with everyone she is a christian [roman catholic] christianity is the biggest religion in the country she loves animals and nature - especially birds colombia has very high biodiversity rates, and is a 'megadiverse country'. it ranks third in living species and first in birds. shes pretty well educated 92.3 of people over 15 are literate, which is slightly higher than the regional average. apparently private schools are also cheaper in colombia than they may be in a lot of other countries around the world. she is easily influenced the culture and life in colombia has been influenced by so many other cultures, due to location and history enjoys song and dance truth be told i dont rly have a fact for this one. singing and dance is something i think of when i think of colombia. she is a leader and can be a little bossy apparently its become increasingly common for women and men to be joint leaders of a house hold, rather than having one provider and one carer she enjoys a large variety of foods, and things like rice and strew there is a large variety of incredibly popular foods; rice is often an important ingredient. stews are common too friends and family are very important to her families in colombia [and south america in general] are very closeknit she loves a good coffee - frequently coffee is one of colombia's main exports her outfit is based upon the traditional dress, which i have seen described 'as frilly and flowy'. the colours were meant to be bright and happy - they also remind me of the sun and sunset. she enjoys kayaking and cycling apparently both are decently popular in colombia. she thinks emeralds are very pretty emeralds are a main export in colombia.*note: shes a new oc!! who doesnt have a lot of info as of yet - more will be added as more comes along.
