How fitting that I got a prompt requesting a horse x) I'm actually volunteering at a horse rescue this summer! Unfortunately for me, I still suck at drawing them. ): my person this month was syrcaid and their prompt was here ! I had a lot of fun with this design and I kept wanting to add more to the reference x.x but I had to stop at some point. Anyway I really hope this is to your liking!

1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
I feel like there were some contradictory instructions regarding the shape you wanted for the body? Like there's "anthro" but also "land horse's body" and "mermaid horse"...I kinda got a little confused there. It's probably just me mixing stuff up but in any case I gave them two 'forms', which I hope is okay with you! :V Otherwise everything was fine and I really liked the bulleted list of themes, which I'll get into in the next question.

2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
I went with a very plain anthro build for the most part- sorry if that's not what you wanted! x.x I think it worked alright though because seahorses swim upright, so there's sort of an easy transition between the two 'forms' I made for it. Not sure if they should have gills or not?? I left them though because it added a little more 'fishiness'. Anyway, I chose a light bay coat color with sabino markings because I looove that sort of marking, lol. I probably went overboard on the detail for the white. They have two different color eyes, since that's something that tends to happen on real horses that have white touching their eyes! I also added a dorsal stripe, even though that doesn't really show up outside of duns, because it's considered a 'primitive' marking and I felt like that made it feel older, like it might be an ancient sea spirit or something. Who knows, lol.

I wanted to include everything off the bulleted list you added, but I couldn't do that on just the horse itself without it looking really crazy obnoxious. I don't know whether or not you wanted clothes for this design, but I added some anyway since it let me tackle every theme except "clear crystals" and "sea foam". As you can see, the mane and tail are made up of seaweed, and the hooves and nails are green sea glass. The clothing has ocean/waves, cooled black lava, obsidian, and sand. I wanted to sort of invoke the themes without outright stating them, so I added the arcs on the blue fabric instead of just drawing waves, and added hexagons on the sash for sand. The cooled lava 'skirt' has obsidian bits hanging from it, and I added some dull gold jewelry just to balance it out.

And uh, yeah, that's about it! I was sooo tempted to keep this design, haha.
