I found this fabric on sale at JoAnn Fabric a few months ago, and it inspired me to make a dress. I wanted something very summery to match the fabric, so I designed an empire-waist gown with thick shoulder straps and high-ish necklines so that I can wear it in the hot weather without a blouse underneath.

Unfortunately I didn't keep track of working time on this one. I've just been too busy with working. The fabric is all cotton, and it's accented by cluny and eyelet lace, and red ribbon. The lace is all hand-sewn because I didn't want it to get bunched up in my sewing machine. I used tons of interfacing on the bow to make it stand up well.

I will update with pics of me wearing this later. I'm wearing it to a lolita meet-up this afternoon!
