This weapon was modeled after the P90 and the MP-7.

The CXR-527 Advanced Submachine Gun Was originally intended as a high accuracy rifle, hence the designation "R". However, midway through the project, there was a breakthrough in gauss technologies that allowed the weapon to become considerably more compact, while maintaining a relatively high degree of accuracy. This unfortunately severely boosted the cost of the design, causing less use than anticipated.
