As you're probably well aware by now (it has been two years since you posted this, after all) Riza didn't die in the manga! She made it through.

MAN this is neato. I really like the softer dirrecton you took in the shading; her jacket is especially swoonworthy. Not to mention that with such a limited color scheme, such was really needed to create a distinct looking piece, and you nailed it. And I also like the decision you made to only draw one eye-it makes it look really sharp and distinct.
From an outside-looking-in standpoint, if she held out this long, I think she'll be alright. If not, she'll totally not die anyway. She'll just go to the Keys where Kamina and Sirius and Tonks and Pushing Daises and it'll ALL BE OKAY. Most def. REGARDLESS I hope you enjoy the last chapter!

I was trying to sort of emulate the coloring of an artist and fell rather short. Try again! The shadow in place of the eye I think was inspired the manga itself. I really Arakawa's artwork.
The problem is the manga is in the endgame! Every character feels so vulnerable. D: If she dies, she doesn't really die. She's just sleepin'. It was all a contingency plan between her and Mustang.

Maybe it's not an emulation, but I think the sharper strokes you have match your style a little better. Dang, I seriously should read FMA.
