My first picture done entirely with a tablet!!!!! I can't shade as well digitally but I hope it came out okay
Done all on paint tool SAI! Vocaloids are fun to draw ^.^All critiques very welcome

You're welcome! ^^ If you don't mind my asking, how did you do that? Did you download a brush, or smudge it a lot, or just draw a lot of lines, or what?

It's kinda hard to explain it hehe but I'll try...
I first fill in the base colour of the hair (yellow) then decide on 2 dark and 2 light colours. I draw loads of lines to show the direction of the hair using some colours, then use the others to show where the light is hitting the hair...It helps to imagine like the hair is made of ribbons rather than strands ^.^
When the lines and lighting looks right, I use the water tool (on SAI) and smudge it a little, but not enough to smudge away the texture (if that makes any sense lol) and then draw even MORE lines lol!
I actually made a tutorial just a couple of days ago for a friend, but I could upload it if it would be helpful ;D

I actually don't have ANYTHING right now, unless you count MS Paint. >_>; My last computer was stolen, and my new one doesn't have any of my old programs. Plus I no longer have the discs, and am too poor for the one I REALLY want - Photoshop. So it's traditional art all the way for me, until I save up enough or find a friend with an extra....
