Description This was a lot of fun. Never have I used so many different tools! The silver sharpie really makes a cool effect when I used the flash on my camera. The chalk was great too, very easy to blend though tough to get to stick on the paper. I had to shave some off in powder form and smear it with my finger. And that's what makes art so freakin' fun for me! Learning new ways to use various tools.

Tools: #2 Pencil, White Out Marker, Metallic(silver) Sharpie, Blue and Red Chalk, Photoshop

This is Bombard. An original character of mine that's one half of the reason I haven't made a book. Between him and Veik I just can't decide who to focus on. Any thoughts? Which character do you favor? ((to those who've seen both characters))

I like Bomb, personally. I know you have more history with Veik but I think there's way too much supernatural stuff out right now. What with all the vampire, werewolf stuff out.

Hey, look at it this way, working on Bomb gives you more time to develop Veik.

As much as I really LOVE Veik. I have to be honest with myself that hes not the best or most original OR easily relatable character I've come up with. I was barely 10 when i made him up. In all honesty i probably will never take the time to make a book for him. I can actually admit that now lol. I personally like the character but I cant like...make him a character anyone could relate to so others can build a connection so he'll be one of those shelved ideas. Bomb on the otherhand i hope this doesnt come off as arogance but could be better received by the public then Veik.

I can understand. Oddly enough, I find that many popular characters are kind of hard to relate to. But Bomb is easily closer to the everyman experience. Nothing arrogant about realizing that. Veik might be better for the occasional graphic novel rather than an ongoing series. He is a very strong character and can have interesting stories.

Bombard all the way, man! I love Veik, don't get me wrong but I guess I have a special connection to Bombard, given D and Max's friendship and all.

How u been!! Yeah. Im rollin with Bomb. Visually i like him more. I brought my issue 1 rough draft to the local comic shop and had 3 people read it. Though they thought it was pretty good they stated the overall story for Veikira is a lot like the Supernatural tv series...which they're right. So Bomb it will be

Can we expect to see Impact in Acropolis?

Been a fan of Bomb since you created him. Possibly one of my favorite OCs from ya. Definitely hits on the iconic mark and could go toe-to-toe with Captain America.

I would like to see Bombard focused on. I think he could be a really good Batman-ish Captain America-like character that might be an interesting contrast to superheroes with real powers, not mentioning the friendships and rivalries between them.

Man...when someone votes for one character over the other i always lean that way. Hehe thats how torn I am with the two

Ah, right lol. BTW how is your shark character, Overbite, doing? Have any plans for him?

He%u2019s going to be used as a villain for Bomb. May not be the first villain used but used none the less.

Ah, gotcha. Should be interesting.

So you used Overbite for CoV? How was playing him?

OneBigNerd In reply to StarGamerWorld [2012-02-22 18:27:30 +0000 UTC]

He was probably the most accepted or liked by other players. So rp was always a blast. Wish they had shark heads though. He never felt right

StarGamerWorld In reply to OneBigNerd [2012-02-22 18:30:52 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I've played CoH/V and while they have it now, the lack of bull heads back then made it difficult for me to make a minotaur.

So sounds like he was your most well liked character. Did he have some sort of rivalry with Mako in CoV?

OneBigNerd In reply to StarGamerWorld [2012-02-22 23:19:41 +0000 UTC]

I actually got to play with both mako and ghost widow a monthe after cov launched. Ghost Widow was played by the actual dev while an admin controlled mako. That was without a doubt my best experience in the game closely follow by Matt "Positron" Miller sending me a email and using the fanart i did for him in the splash screen before launching the game. CoH is great but I squeezed what fun i could from it. I really hope they move forward with CoH2

StarGamerWorld In reply to OneBigNerd [2012-02-22 23:26:55 +0000 UTC]

Ah wow. That is quite incredible. I've never played with an admin or a developer, so it must be quite the memorable time. I'm hoping they'll move forward with CoH2 as well, haven't heard much of it lately.

I'll be hoping to see more of both Bombard and Overbite. Bombard has this kind of charisma with that costume of his, and I happen to like half-man half-whatever creatures (along with anything non-human lol)

Since Veikira's book deals with the supernatural, why not have him gain immortality or maybe do something where a rift opene up and he had to fight this evil being and during the battle maybe got trapt in the rift which ended up opening in the future and having him escape there. There is so much you can do when you deal with supernatural type stories.

Thanks for the suggestion man. I'm going to focus on Veik's solo book. I've already got a ton of story already finished and completed a few concept pieces over the past couple days. If I ever decide to bring him into the present time it may be something along those lines. There's nothing we really haven't seen done yet when it comes to bringing past characters into the present. I'd have to think hard on the proper way to do it.

I love the color theme. Bombard is an awesome character man. I agree with Celtic Bolt, it's possible to tie your two characters together in a story line.

OneBigNerd In reply to TheShadowFade [2012-02-19 19:43:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Working together isnt an option. They exist hundreds of years apart.

hey bud..why can't you have both of them in a book...play of each other..one the straight laced military type..the other a free spirit..both would balance each other...

OneBigNerd In reply to CelticBolt [2012-02-19 10:19:49 +0000 UTC]

Because they're lives are during separate eras. The original idea for Veikira ((pre-Peacekeeper)) was him living around the 1300's were the supernatural/magic themes would seem more relevant. Though honestly I have thought of just doing a book with all of the characters but thought it would be too much for me to handle. Who knows. While doing a book for Bombard I could totally pull a "Captain America" and bring Veik into the future somehow,

CelticBolt In reply to OneBigNerd [2012-02-19 11:57:11 +0000 UTC]

Would work for me bud...you could have parallel stories taking place at the sametime but in different eras, but connected through the story...something Veik does in the 1300 has a effect on Bomb...but whatever you do or however you work on (first lol) it will be cool.

Definatly appreciate the idea brother, but these two are totally separate. So if you were in a comic shop and these two books were side by side which one would you thumb through first?
