Once a carefree leveret living with his warren in the outskirts of Union City, Ricochet had already gained a reputation as a tough kid who often protected his siblings from bigger bullies and was proud in being earmarked to be a part of the warren's 'Owsla' upon reaching adulthood which was a position he would never see fulfilled.
As it were, bigger bullies than hungry foxes and marauding raid parties existed in the form of humans who in wanting to develop the grassy knolls they called home began to destroy the warrens with cranes, flushing out the rabbits living there with hunting dogs who didn't particularly care about about their wellbeing and just saw the job as a bit of fun. He watched two of his siblings torn to pieces by them as he struggled to save the remaining two; Fortunately and unfortunately, the people got to them before the dogs did and figured that the dogs had their share of rabbit today. Instead, he was separated from his siblings and carted off to be sold off to either a butcher or a furrier.
Neither picked up his cage however; He was instead purchase by a man looking for 'live prey' and along with other small rodents bought and sold for spare change were bought to a dark, dank underground where they were loaded into cellars like crates and sat there for days. Occasionally, one of them would be pulled out and never returned and he quickly figured out where this was heading once he heard the begging commence.
Mired in rotting food and filth, he decided he wasn't going to be prey and he wasn't going to beg so when the day came that he was dragged out of his cage to be tossed as a reward to a hungry, savage pitfighter, he went on the offensive.
Before anyone could register what was going on, he had caved in the Luxray's nose and in the animal's confusion at being donkey-kicked by food, he sunk his teeth into its throat until his fur was red and someone finally managed to wrest him off their prizefighter.
He thought that would be the end of him, that he would die laughing at the animal meant to be the death of him, but looking at the damage he had caused, the pit owners had an idea;
No one in their right mind would have bet on a measly rabbit to win these fights; They would train this one to win and in turn, make thousands off the lopsided wagers and it worked. The bouts were brutal and the hours were long, but Ricochet found out that the whole world underestimating his kind came to his benefit as did their ignorance on just how much damage bunny teeth, bunny feet and bunny claws could cause.
This went on long enough that he presumed this was going to be his life until he dropped dead during a bout, but the feds conducted a raid during one of the matches and he was shuttled off to a shelter for care, rehabilitation and adoption.
As it turned out, attempting to rehabilitate a prey-turned-prizefighter was one thing; Trying to match them with a family who wanted a cute, fluffy, meek rabbit for their kids instead of a scruffy, sullen, hissing rodent was another.
Nobody wanted what he had become, only who he was and in turn he wanted nobody until somebody large, hairy and smelling of a weird combination of diesel fumes, cat food and musty leather picked him out one day and for a moment there was wild agitation at the possibility that she might send him back to the pit;
Rather, she left him with a man in a large home with larger grounds and a ton of confusion.
He didn't know what he was suppose to do here. The Owsla was no more and he didn't have a fight to prepare for every other day.
He did however have explore days and food he liked and no one telling him what to do or who to be, he could just be what he was and that was going to have to suffice for now.
Also there was this dog with a weird arm he recognized from the pit which clearly meant they had to be friends. Maybe this place wouldn't be so lame after all.

- Can often be found Shadow Boxing in the weight room with a pair of headphones and an old MP3 Rhames gifted him.
- Thinks Serpico is kind of a pansy but hey, at least they have something in common unlike the rest of the Brady Bunch here.
- Rhames made him Ratatouille once while trying to figure out what he liked to eat after he pettily refused everything else that was offered, and it made him change his plans to run away that night. That is good shit, fine, he'll stay.
- His two siblings are still unaccounted for. If you're in Shadowlocke and you have a rodent Pokemon/one in his egg group, hit me up if you wanna fam up with him! (Looking for one more!)
