The chain on her arm really looks Photoshopped. It is not? Still looks that way.

A Discovery video I watched a couple of years ago showcased 3. The other was Lozen, a native american rebel and I forgot the chinese lady's name. I cannot recall the age, just that she fought gerilla wars against the emperor.

The metal work is some of the best I have seen. Sergey Mikulskii must be quite the master of his craft.
LilSophie is beauty personified here and has been captured with a wonderful use of color and focus.
A memorable image indeed!

Thanks! Sergey Mikulskii is a famous professional in Russian movie industry for his armors. We were very lucky to be able to use his work.

Now that makes me wonder what I have been missing not seeing Russian films.
It is one of the things I love about DA, being exposed to the rest of the world.

I would definitely hate to put anybody´s work down. Sergei might be doing a good work otherwise (though I have my opinion about movie makers in general), but IMO he totally failed to recreate correct armour for this shot.
Sorry, but late 14th and early 15th century armour would look very different from what you see here - chainmail is OK (though it would have been riveted on at least half of the rings). Also, there would be a padded gambeson under it. The braces on forearms are pure fantasy and the metal gorget did not exist at the time of JoA´s life. No comments on the sword since I can not see the blade.
So the bottom line is: The girl is pretty, the shot is well lit and all, but there is one very common flaw - there is no such thing as universal armour (and most people fail to understand that). It evolved in time just like our clothes change according to fashion. Seeing Joan of Arc in wrong armour is just about the same as seeing Napoleon in soviet uniform. It is a uniform after all, right?
