I know, it's a bit of a let down after Starlit but this isn't a very serious manipulation. It's just to stop me from getting rusty.
Yes, my tablet does still work after it went for a little soda bath last night and I'm currently working on the tutorial again. I just wanted a break from all the typing and layer juggling.
The texture I used was by *asphyxiate-Stock but unfortunately I couldn't find it in her gallery.
Sorry asphyxiate!
Anyways, hopefully I'll be back with some better manipulations after I finish the tutorial, which I know is taking forever!
You guys can consider it my Christmas present to you!

Looks great! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that this picture is fish related since it is called scales and it's blue. XD I may be wrong, but in terms of makeup, I think lipstick is made from fish scales.

And nope, no fish but the original texture kinda looked like scales anyways.
At one point it was, along with pig/whale fat and shark liver oil.
There aren't too many of those left anymore, the FDA bans a lot of different additives that could be a potential threat.
Now their primarily made with natural waxes and oils.
Usually not from animals.

That's good to hear. It's bad enough that some companies don't follow the fair-trade rules, but some of them have the gall to kill animals for an excessive product.

POM Pomegranate Juice Company still tests ALL of their products on animals and I hate hearing about the things like the Chinchilla Fur business....
Something that's always surprised me is how much of an outrage there is over fur when you hardly hear anyone mention leather at all.

Oh man, I didn't know about POM doing animal testing until just now! Makes me glad that I never bought any of their products.
And yea, I once wondered why there's more complaints about fur than leather. Animals like cows and chickens sacrifice so much for us humans.

I know! From everyone I've told no one has bought there products since. Which is a good thing. 
And I found a quote the other day that described the leather/fur situation perfectly.
"It's easier to harass skinny, little rich ladies than it is a gang of bikers."
Which is very true.

Wow, that quote is, eh, well I'm not sure what to make of it. I understand that it's saying that you're a coward if you pick on those weaker than you, but on the other hand, I'm not fond of rich people to begin with.

Well it also points out the fact that no one likes getting there ass kicked. And considering most members of PETA don't believe in violence it's something most would rather avoid.
And I don't think most are fond of rich people either, particularly if they come with the godly attitude as well.

You're right! I didn't think of it that way...
And yea, I agree. Not that all rich people are snobby or stuck up, because some, like Bill Gates, have those inspiring "rags to riches" kind of stories. But still, it's just annoying to see someone who was raised and/or automatically thinks that poor people are inferior. And then there are girls who are stupid enough to reward such bad behavior.

Although, the only thing that puzzles me is the title. It looks more like water to me than scales.

Actually if you look at the texture, it looks more like scales, but with the way I overlay things they always come out blurry.
Oh well.

hmm.... Yeah, I notice it a bit now but it reminds me of raindrops on the windshield while driving through town with the street lights reflecting in them.
If there were blue street lights... lol
