It doesn't really look like a storm entity...more like an albino peacock that's gone "FUCK YEAH! STORM! *fly*"
I'm kinda proud of this. Kinda nawt too.

WHOA! That's just MARVELOUS. I love how the tail just POPS out of the frame like that. It looks beautiful. ;_; Like I can actually touch it and feel how soft it's feathers are and yet it has mischevious expression that just makes me want to hug it. A guess is here but is the main light source coming from the top with the lightning bolts being secondary lightsources for the tail feathers and such?
I really like it. When it comes to doing stuff made of fine strands like feathers or hair I tend first lay the main shadows and then spaz around with different lines of the shade following the direction of the hair. Then I blur rape it XD

But I know what you mean! I have angel characters and I tend to blur rape the wings because I get frustrated.
I really like it's face. It's expression was fun!

I bet it was. 8D FFFF I usually use a light source from the top left because Im right handed and it's easier. But sometimes in dramatic situations I like doing the light from the back. SO challenging...

I always put the light shinies of eyes on the right hand side so I guess my light source is always top right! XD

The curving lines convey a sense of swiftness and power, and lightning is cool

The colors and wind are amazing i have to say you really did nicely.
The tail and foot do look a little awkward but the quality of the art makes up for that. the jewel is great but its crown? The feathers circling the jewel look off a bit, maybe its just me. The lightening also looks off. But! The overall picture is beautiful!

That was the FIRST THING I thought too...specially with that face. also I really like the composition and how the feathers sweep out of the frame. It's awesome.
