I love the little experiments you do with your latest commissions. Trying multiple expressions, eyes, different colouring (like on the paws of your previous piece) is always a good way to change up certain aspects of your style bit by bit and see what works and what doesn’t! I really enjoy it.
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the blurred image backgrounds you started to put on your drawings (I think you can go more original with them, like making your own patterns and compositions without being overcomplicated but keeping them yours instead of searching an image and putting it behind) but that’s your choice and I understand how it may work in both making your art look “fuller” or more suitable format-wise to post in other platforms (like Instagram). To me, it takes a little bit away from the drawing and doesn’t quite help me focus on the art itself but rather how much the background doesn’t fit your style (for example, in this piece, while palette-wise both the character and background compliment each other, the flowers are a realistic photo while your style is not, hence making a contrast that confuses my eyes).
It’s been long since I’ve made a bigger comment on any of your drawings so I thought I should give a little critique, hope that’s okay! Regardless, I’m always happy to see more art from you cutie. Keep it up!
