Description 2011 Commission Request.
Commission for *harrybabeonhowrse , of her characters Abercrombie and Fitch.
edit; It got a DD! Thank you so much *midnitejinx for suggesting it and ^kuschelirmel for featuring it!
I worked on this one on and off for about a week. A few times I got to a point where I just got fed up and walked away because it was just so tedious.
But I'm really glad I kept coming back to it.. Because I love how it turned out.
I'm not used to working with two subjects.. And let me tell you; it is a LOT more work!
This one ended up having about.. 150 layers? Photoshop was struggling to save it by the time I was finished. cx
Lots of detail work in this one. Hopefully it shows?

Wow. Just wow. This is absolutely breathtaking. It's hard to believe the background is not a photo, I adore the reflection off of the wet sand. And the detail of the horses is perfect. WELL DONE!

And congrats on the Daily Deviation. You completely deserve it with this art. ^^

I would have put the black horse up front and the brown in back, because the black kinda blends with the rocks. But otherwise here we have a beautiful work of art and I congratulate you.

I had initially planned on having the black horse in front for that very reason, but the poses worked much better with the chestnut in front. Otherwise, the black sort of blocked off the chestnut and gave the whole piece a more closed-off feel.

This is just gorgeous! those reflections couldn't be any more perfect ~
I also love how soft the whole image is; I find that without sharpening the crap out of mine they look like one big mess, but you seem to be able to achieve a beautiful soft look. <3
