My belated Christmas gift to for the Dragon-Fanatics group's secret santa!It is a picture of 's character, Drako shown here [link]
After reading that Drako was a water dragon, the idea of an underwater scene was implanted in my head, and I just had to try it out! The wings are pretty messed up, as I'm pretty shaky with them normally, but with foreshortening, and being underwater, I just kinda winged it *heh heh*
Hopefully you'll forgive me for getting this in so close to the deadline! ^^

A water drake hmm, looks so cute to with that smile on its face and looks so playful too like a dolphin would the bubbles are a nice touch added to the image as well, quite a nice look and well drawn secret gift to give.

Yep, I tried to make Drako as much in her "element" as possible, being joyful and all.

Well makes any doubt of it this was actually underwater is more believable because of bubbles.

But yeah, the background was a nice surprise. As I was painting it, I was thinking to myself how it would never work out. But... I guess it turned out alright. If it had a tad bit more detail, and maybe colors / more animals, then it would have been eye explodingly epic.

Wow, you're right! Has the same concept, but you've got that nice underwater lighting. So THAT'S why Drako felt so unattached to the background...
