Mephiles is said to be dead on the official SEGA page about him. I don’t think he’ll be revived anytime soon.
Fans may bring him back in games but for the actual canon, it isn’t likely......

Well at least there are fan fictions out there as well, Iblis is also thought to be dead but Blaze pretty much took him to another dimension instead in the future so it is possible Mephiles could still be around.

Yeah.
Mephiles probably would have to bring the whole plot of Sonic 06 with him before he could show up again.

but think, Elise blew out the flame in the end of Sonic 06.
That (supposedly) made it so thatΒ the events of 06 never happened.
No one (supposedly) remembers it.
That means the people of Soleanna don't remember trying to make Solaris, and failing.
they could technically do the plot over again.

Sega needs to give the game one more chance, there are people out there who love the game,
If they tried on it, they should be able to fix it. They wouldn't be hurrying to finish it,
and they could fix plot holes and things people didn't like about it.

Actually I think Sonic rememberers it since in one of those Q & A’s on YouTube he asked Silver if he remembered him trying to kill Sonic.

Shadow doesn’t seem to remember the events either ( he’s had memory problems before so it makes sense to me)

Sonic seemed to remember at the end of 06 and Elise as well after Sonic rushed passed her so there is a chance that they remember as for everyone else, I don’t think they do.

Yeah. I think Sega confirmed that Sonic and Elise would be the only ones to remember.

Though, Blaze says she remembers Crisis City in Sonic Generations.
And in Sonic Runners Silver and Blaze are walking to Sonic's birthday party together,
that means they know each other. (Though I question whether Sonic Runners is canon or not)

Makes sense. I never played Sonic 06, so I don't know too much about it. I was like, maybe 2 years old when that came out.
