WOOOOOOO!!!!! haven't heard from me in lyke....FORNEVER!lawl....but that's not the point
wellz you see, this is a picture for my teacher 8D a comission...i guess. since i've never gotten one before i'll write this as my first time.
she askeded me to draw her son and his imaginary dragon. well the funny thing is that her son's like...8 and in this picture the kid looks like he's....13? and yeah lol. i dont think it really looks like her son. lol plus the grass is like SO GAY! hahahhahaha. but whatev. she loved it
so the important part was that she was asking me to make up a price.
as my english teacher, she controls my grades, so i'm not too sure what to charge her. i had friends who said $3 bucks (way too small!) and friends who said $50 (isn't that a little overpricing) so i choose something in the middle.
i was thinking like $32.99 or $33 (US dollars) thats with a 11x14 enlargement, the sketches, and the file sent over to her through e-mail. Sound good?
OH another problem i've always been having with photoshop. everytime i save it as a .jpeg, or anything else, it loses its color and gets dull. i mean when i open it back up on photoshop as the thing i saved it as, it'll be totally fine, but when i open it up like on paint. or the preview thing. its darker and duller. like for this one, i had to open it up back on photoshop and change the brightness so that maybe it would look like the original when it saved. it didnt, but it was close enough to make me happy. but still. i dont understand how it works. some people said its cuz photoshop is like so high resolution that it messes the picture up when you open it up on something else. but i'm not sure...Advice?

Very nice work with this commission. You finally did it! Congrats, and also in earning a little savings in your pocket.
I like the sense of colors and size here. The Dragon and the boy seem so interconnected, sharing a very passionate connection with each other. In this way it seems to remind me of Dragonheart which to this day was a very impacting movie. The best part of this picture to me is the shading techniques and the texture on the dragon's neck-- it looks more realistic. In contrast, one of the things I'd suggest you should improve upon is the background though; It's very simple and is missing some realistic shadows. I suggest using the "Multiply" option on the Paintbrush tool in Photoshop and go over the rules of shading, applying it next to the boy and the dragon. Also try to use the grassy brushes and some flowers if you'd like to add more texture to the ground. This could be done using brushes with the accorded designs.
Other than this it's very well done.

There is always some flaw to the artist that created it, but that won't change history will it?
Right now, you should just be optimistic and look at the meaning behind the work. Be humble and modest, yes,
but still use some of the elements that was inspiring here in future works as basis for improvement.
Well then, that's up to experimentation.

SD card is a memory card, make sure you have a slot for it. Then you buy a memory card then save via computer. Remember to install it with the CD that came with your phone!!

Maybe the colours are a bit oversaturated for my tastes.
You've made a good work with the shading.
Maybe that 'being off' feeling that it gives, is due to that the neck is too straight; maybe if it started vertically, and then make a nice curve (like an inverted J).
Love the hair of the boy, it's the most detailed part of the picture. And the hand, nice work
About Photoshop showing a different result than the .jpg, it has never happened to me, I wouldn't know how to help you

i am not sure, but i think the problem with your .jpeg images is that .jpeg's (i think i am not sure) are lossy so that means they lose information easily. On photoshop they probably stay the same because that is the program you modified the picture on, but i think when being transferred to a different program or something it loses some of its information. i think png. files are lossless, so they won't llose information...again i am not sure. i learned this stuff in my web design class but that was last semester and at the beginning of the class for that matter...
