PhoWill
I approach this pairing quite differently from how many others approach it. In many fics, Phobos usually has the upper hand between the two of them, and is this suave, dashing, handsome vampire-like dude who makes people swoon at his feet. I call this interpretation of PhoWill as "Classical PhoWill".
In my interpretation, he's... not that, and Will refuses to be commanded by him and his whims, especially if they're stupid, or they can hurt/gravely affect someone or a group of people. They can show up in a formal event wearing a tunic (Phobos) and a suit (Will). Or, in short: Will can stand equal with Phobos, and he respects her.
Concept
The 'story' I try to convey here more about how one cannot truly command over their feelings. It's going to be difficult for both of them, especially Phobos, and especially during the whole adjustment period. They both hate each other so strongly, and it will be difficult to establish trust with each other. Moreover, like with Cedric, Phobos needs to overcome many of his own issues, prejudices, and habits before he can truly commit.
There's also the issue of Will's friends and their views on her relationship with him, their views on Phobos himself. ZarahX and I think similarly that Cornelia would be the one who'd be so against this relationship, especially that Phobos hurt her best friend.
The Redraw
The atmosphere is in contrast to the Cedrube in-cover redraw I did: dark, light; firmness, hesitation; connection, disconnect. It's the other side of love, the side where it's difficult, heavy, and menacing. Still in parallel, though, are the petals.
Whereas in the original the background is all white, this one is darker, too. In the original, Will is younger, and she's trying to protect Dormouse. Here, she's trying to protect herself, wrapping her arms around herself and trying to calm herself down.
As for Phobos, I just made his clothes more symmetrical than the original, and I got rid of his weird smirk. He does not smile; he is being serious.
The background was inspired by his cartoon self's castle... and Utena. Utena has very beautiful stained glass-inspired art.
Admittedly, in the original, whenever I just see it, I often mistake Will's hand on dormouse's for Phobos'. XD
