I just can't seem to get enough of Nikolaj. He is always a good subject for practicing my skills.Detective Khovansky going at his business. It's still a mystery where he is or what he is doing.

Anyway, there's some really fancy lookin' lights in the background, so if he's on duty maybe he's investigating a home or a scene, questioning some peeps? Some group of rich sods, or perhaps he's at some sort of club to investigate because after yellow lights, they're immediately blue afterwards.Β Don't judge me, I'm just shooting from the hip.
It could be that he's outside after just being inside.
Where exactly does he live?
And does he actually spend time solvingΒ real crimes?
Oh my gosh, what if he's on his own case?
They'll never catch him if he's the lead on his own crime.

Those are some nice ideas. I'd also lean on that he is either meeting up with someone or investigating a crime (the face he makes just makes me wonder how bad the situation is) and as you already guessed, he most definitely will investigate his own crimes
Nikolaj is more of the chief officer in the police so he doesn't exactly go around solving crimes unless it's something very important. He is just there to order everyone to do their shit and hold everything together.
Now I would love to say that he lives in his office (because that's where he spends a lot of his time) but he ofc has a wife and a kid at home and they are living a fairly decent life. To outsiders he looks like a normal guy but well he has his dark side
