\o/Got around to draw my golden boi with his wings. He doesn't usually wear them but when he does, it's quite the sight.

I really like the atmosphere in this picture - and I think the title "Sun" quite fits.
What really appeals to me here is the "simplicity" of this picture. There isn't a lot of distraction, and every detail seems to "fit", also in the surroundings. It looks like everything just has it's "right place". Um, I would guess that this kind of simplicity isn't as easy to achieve as it looks.

And yeah you are right. Sometimes keeping things simple is challenging since finding those right places where to put things is hard. One has to keep the composition very clear, you don't want to have anything that distracts the viewers eye from the central focus and so on.Β

Exactly! Sometimes, at least in my experience, this works out very well spontaneously, but often has "more strength" when one puts effort into the planning of the picture. At least - when one plans the picture a bit more, it tends to turn out "well" in regards of simplicity, and not maybe-it-does, and maybe-it-doesn't.

He can make the surface as hard as metal if he so chooses but it also can be this floating liquid kinda thing. So your hand would just go through xD
