It had seemed like a completely normal day - the birds were singing, the stallions were squabbling childishly over their paddock fences, the stable hands were loafing about, and there was a general air of lazy contentment hanging over the stables.

Elaina had been out riding Icarus on the trails, and the two had been enjoying themselves immensely, seeing as they hadn't had much free time to spend together lately. They had just turned onto a new trail when suddenly the Dusana stallion started acting skittish, sweat flecking his sides, snorting and jumping at every little thing.

Worried at the unusual behaviour, Elaina immediately rode Icarus back to the stables. As they kept on towards Silver Pines, Elaina realised Icarus was starting to stumble quite abit, and was breathing hard, as if he had been running miles and not doing a simple hack out in the woods.

As soon as they arrived back at the stables, Elaina called Dr. Raleigh and dismounted. However, as soon as his tamhas left the saddle, the brown stallion immediately keeled over, eyes cracked open, breathing hard, with sweat slicking down his coat.

When the doctor arrived, he gave the stallion a quick injection to buck the horse up for long enough to have him walk back to an isolated stall before collapsing onto the dry straw once more.

After Dr Raleigh took a few blood samples, he left, promising to call back as soon as he got some news.

Till now, Elaina hasn't moved from Icarus' stall, and the stallion's health has been shaky, seemingly getting better for an hour before falling deathly ill once more.

Nobody knows what's going on, and everyone's worried and a little scared. Especially since some of the other horses have begun to show similar symptoms...
