Background WTF??!! Yeah, I like doing backgrounds actually. Should probably do them more often.Here's my double page spread for my portfolio class. It's designed to be split into 2 pages for my actual portfolio book.
Most of this is watercolor with some colored pencil and digital. And the original painting is HUGE! Ug, never again!
But yeah, I haven't done anyting this ambitious in a while. It's not perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

The backgroung looks very Star Wars.. specifically Death Star. Quite Imperial, the decor. If you ask me.
I love the colouring work though, btw. Looks great.

I find it kind of amazing how you can distort your figures so much and still have them look so believable. It makes for interesting contrast with the smoother lines of the guns and the backgrounds. You're good with backgrounds. I can handle making organic backgrounds like forests and what not, but I lack creativity when it comes to interiors and other geometric things... You don't seem to have that problem. Looks good.

Jeez, this is really cool! I love how the flash from the laser lights up the face of the girl in the foreground, also I like how their outfits are sort of a mix between steampunk and something out of star wars
