Don't you know how tricky slitted-eye placement is? Blegh, you guys are the reason I don't get any sleep. 
This is a Potara-style fusion of Celestia's evil form, Nightmare Star, and Celestia from the Mirror-Universe, who was evil to begin with. I considered giving her quadruple-wings but Potara Fusions don't get extra limbs. This is also a continuation of this:

Not sure what use Merged God Celestia would have for a guard but okay. So, if MG Celestia here is God, why not call those guards her Seraphim? Too cool? Thrones? Angels?

I have wondered if she even need a guard but i thought about it and in DBX2 (though its not canon) zamasu trusts you to be his divine vanguard (though he refers to it as a temporary position since he plans on destroying all mortals) do you think Merged god celestia would use a divine vanguard of sorts just until she didnt need them anymore and if so im thinking alicorns about the age cadence is when twilight has a flashback about her (to make sure they cant become a threat) as for the name divine vanguard sounds cool and singularly Angel or Valkyrie sounds about right

I'd love to claim that Hasbro nicked my idea, but then I'm sort-of guilty of that too. Regular Nightmare Star's design was by whoever designs the Card Game for MLP, I'm just a huge fan of it.
If you read the description, you'd know that Merged God Celestia here is a fusion between Nightmare Star and Evil Celestia. =X

Even if all powerful ponies (all alicorns, mane 6, Starlight, Trixie, Sunset, Thorax), fused into one powerful entity, the human technology, would dealt with them. Humans are way more powerful than simple alicorn princess, even if she's a god.
