Description
Second drawing in a series of Fairtale princesses who I'm redesigning in a more mature and high fantasy like setting. Some will be more fantasy-like than others depending on the idea I got for them.None of these princesses are drawn in their original age, but instead they are reimagined in a mature manner at a mature age.
Mulan is one of my favorite folklore women of all time, needless to say she was already an inspiration on her own and I felt I didn't need to add alot to make this an interesting character. I tried to emphasise the warrior in her heart without undoing her gentle nature.

Thanks man! Gosh, I can't remember by heart which brushes I used here. There is for sure BARONTiERi in there, as that is my basic set. And I tend to add brushes to it if my needs require more like specific blood brushes for on the sword and all.

Oh, I see! Well, I've always used standard round and squared brushes and now I'm opening myself to different brushes, textures, etc.

well thank you for your praise ^^ I wouldn't call the series realistic myself, it's not a term I'd like to use to describe my own art. At the contrary I'd call myself more of a romantic in the art as I'm trying to keep a strong emphasis on magic and fantasy in everything.
My goal is to create a series of the princesses in a tasteful semi-nude fashion that appeals a mature audience without the usual smut or cartoon style, there's just so much of that already out there.

This is stunning! I love the originality of it all, most people just do the reflection scene or cutting of the hair when they do a mulan picture, few people do this simple, yet emotionally packed scene. It's wonderful
