Back in school, we took a field trip to a scrap yard in order to find subject material for a painting. The idea was to take closeup shots that were no longer identifiable as anything. At that level, they essentially became abstract. We took loads of pics. I took many that fit the criteria, but also many that I just liked, regardless.

This was the image I chose to go with. I was happy enough with it, but the last thing I did was put a thin wash over it. I didn't leave it flat, however, and it ran a bit and left lines down the painting. I was so irritated that when I moved out of that house a year or two later, I threw the painting in the dumpster outside... =.=;

Umm, so I don't have it to show you... But who cares? This is the photo it was based off and is much nicer to look at! XD
