I think it is. I don't mean to offend you but I still think that's the way it is.
Well, I already did sort of comment, but I like the light and shadows and the fact that only the other eye is showing from under the hat. The light brings out the skin texture prettily. The pose is also nice.
Then again I find the background a little confusing and there's this black... thing in the lower left corner that catches the eye.
