Armas de Felipe II de España, siguiendo con su idea de conseguir un imperio para sí, despues que su padre el otrora emperador Carlos V del Sacro Imperio Romano Germanico abdicara y repartiera sus pocesiones entre su hermano Fernando y su hijo Felipe.

Este ultimo ya siendo Rey de Portugal uniendo bajo la misma persona todos los reinos Hispanos, siendo por este hecho que retoma el titulo creado por su bisabuelo Fernando el Catolico uniendolo con la dignidad dada por el Papa a sus ancestros Trastamara.

"Si al referirse a mi padre lo hacian llamandolo Su Santificada, Cesárea y Católica Majestad; de ahora en más deberan referirse a mi persona como su señor que soy, Su Católica, Alfonsina y Basilea Majestad.
