This is Avatar Jie! (G-eh) or at least currently she is, because I keep changing her name... >>

Let me get all the information I can out about her so I don't have to tell ya'll later because I'm bored
IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER OR REASON
just as I think of it

Name: Jie
Lived until the age of: 17
Place of Birth: Old Ba Seng Se
Nationality: Eastern Earth Kingdom

Jie - alone; mosquito larvae; small

-only mastered Earth and Water bending, while briefly studying the other to
-only went into the Avatar State once
-wears Tengu geta! ^^ (Geta with 1 really long tooth)
-shortest Avatar in history, never growing past 5 feet tall

Cause of Death- Her finance died and, consumed by grief, she entered the Avatar State and encased them both in stone, almost destroying the Avatar Spirit as well

-a notoriously slow learner when it came to bending, especially for an Avatar
-dislikes people mocking her height
-dislikes people questioning her abilities as the Avatar
-she wears black and white to symbolize that she has allegiance to no nation or element above another (despite her inability to master all the elements)

During the time Jie was alive the Earth Kingdom was split into the North, South, East, and West, as well as several Water Tribe and Fire Nation settlements scattered throughout.
The current Eastern Earth King had plans of uniting the entire Earth Kingdom under his rule, thus wanted the next Earth Avatar under his control. A fortune teller predicted the next Avatar would, in fact, be born in his country, so he would only need to wait for the current Avatar in the North Pole to die. In the meantime he begins to build a great wall around his capital city.
When the Water Tribe Avatar died, the Eastern Earth King collected all the infants born within one month of his death. Jie was born prematurely in the underground city of Old Ba Seng Se, which contained mostly the poor. Immediately following her birth she was taken by the King's soldiers and given the name Jie because of her size (there was a scribe with the soldiers taking down the name of the child and family so they could be returned when ruled out as candidates as the Avatar)
Jie was then raised in the palace with all the other Avatar candidates until she was seven years old. At that time a follower of the previous Avatar came and took her, much to the displeasure of the Eastern Earth King. He took her to the Southern Earth Kingdom and left her in the care of a noblewoman to teach her earthbending.
After eight years she finally mastered earthbending and her and her teacher set out for the water tribe settlement (at the time the peninsula which later became Kiyoshi island [hence why they where blue >>']) the man lived in to learn waterbending from him. Upon arrival Jie is disappointed when he tells her his nephew will be teaching her instead and accompanying her on her journeys.
And then they go on many adventures, they eventually fall in love and get engaged but the boy is sick and dies and then Jie gets all emo and kills herself ^^
The Eastern Earth King launches a campaign to unite the Earth Kingdom, and succeeds in ridding about half the continent of the Fire and Water settlements, but ultimately fails. The Earth Kingdom is eventually united by his grandson.
