Ok so I made these for the Breaking Dawn midnight thing and I got a lot of compliments on them. I'm certainly pretty proud of them even though I now hate Twilight. I used acrylic paint and then sprayed them with a protective sealant.My mom's co-workers daughter bought them. I'm super happy because she loves them and wears them everyday apparently.

Well tonight I was at Target and I saw a pair of Canvas Oxfords by Merona, I couldn't resist. = D They were only 14 dollars and I happened to have enough left on my giftcard. So now I need to make a run to Michael's and get fabric paint modge podge and permanant markers (do you think they'll run?)
Sooo, yeah.
Idk If I'm going to do them Twilight themed, I was thinking Pooh Bear (hehehe) I saw a few and thought they were adorable, idk.

Hmm...I'm not sure about the permanent markers thing. It might work if you use some sort of fabric sealing spray. Now I might have to go to Target haha. Pooh Bear would be cute!

Yeah- I figured out the right shoe design, well, the front at least.
I'm going to have Pooh swinging from a bee hive, and then a bunch of (cute!) little bumble bees all around him, and since there wouldn't just be a random beehive, I'll probably have a tree, or part of it and have it cut off.
And yeah, I'm going to get modge podge, I've heard that works the best...
And Idk about the other shoe. I was thinking Eore (is that how you spell it?) or Tigger. I can't draw Piglet, so that's out. lol.
I can draw rabbit, but when I do he looks kinda possessed, and I'm not sure I want a possessed rabbit on my shoes.

The last book really is what killed it for me. It grossed me out and it was kind of boring. Plus, as an English major, I've realized that the writing is kind of horrible and she repeats adjectives way too much. I was like way into thinking that Edward was the perfect guy when in actuality he's pretty abusive and there love was based on absolutely nothing of value.
But at the same time I'm not going to go around bashing it and bashing the people who like it like I've seen a lot of Twilight Haters do. At least it's got kids reading :]

oh my god, you just made my day. i can't stand it when people bash twilight because it's badly written and whatnot. as much as i KNOW it's badly written, i enjoy it and it HAS gotten kids reading. i LOVE twilight... but i know it's not exactly award winning literature.
