Description Those who know the love is not fear death, because from life they took everything that was possible

This is the last journey of my characters - Raine, Commmander of the Grey Wardens and Gwendan, formally First Enchanter of Ferelden Circle(unofficially -Seeker of Chantry). It has been 15 years since events of the first game...and it were very hard years. Anders' actions cause no end of trouble and spoiled their lifes very much.

A few details:
-This is not "abstract mountains", but a place not far from the urn of ash of Andraste.
- Warden has gray hair and it's not by age - he was about 35 years.
- Gwen is blind (if he opens his eyes, there we see only black)...he saw everything only in the Fade. This fact does not prevent him from conjuring and fighting, but it's hard to live when there are only shadows, demons and vague silhouettes.
- Stabbed in the heart (if you know how) is a painless and quick death (trust me))) in my family there are few medics). Especially if the person doesn't know it would happen and not resist....

I'll write more about them and draw pictures with them .... but my Dragon Age will end that way.

Yes, but the alternative is sadder....
My Commander hates Deep Roads and darkness (as Anders))). Dying in the dark and lonely...it's awful. He know it, he spent all his friends there. Raine just does not know that Gwen is also not going to come back. Lack of knowledge is the kindness in this case.

I understand. My Reyn would never let Anders die alone in the dark, either. Of course, my Warden was enough of a schemer to recruit Avernus to work for her, and since he's been around for centuries without dying or succumbing to the Calling, there may be hope yet.

Yes, this option was considered. But that did not work with my red elf. Once - he was joining at the time of the Blight , and personally encountered with archdemon. Two - there is such a thing as a contact with the creatures of darkness...it also affects the time of the Calling. Three - he's quite "sensitive" to the magic..plus one death and experimenting with strange artifacts and own magic didn't improve the situation. So it could be even more early calling.
I've got quite a complicated story ... The war with Tampliers and intrigues in the Orlais, mages of Tevinter... and bought two years of life for very high price.
In general it is very long and complicated))) I don't want to bore you of my bad English.

Thank you for your words. Hmmm...very difficult to accommodate a large story in a few sentences. There are two games, three books and anime. Sorry my bad English(((
In short, it's dark fantasy. Darkspawns are the scourge of the world, a very dangerous threat and slaves of Old Gods(dragons)))). These creatures seemed limitless in number, and spread a taint that infected other living creatures, mutating them into monsters, and corrupted and poisoned the very environment around them. And there is order of the Grey Wardens struggling with them.
Becoming a Grey Warden(joining))) requires a dose of the darkspawn corruption (their blood)))) in sufficient potency to have an immediate effect, rather than slowly corrupt the consumer into a ghoul. This ritual is give some abilites....but deprive too much.
The Calling begins with nightmares or voices from the Old Gods, the same "call" the darkspawn hear to search for the Old Gods. It takes about thirty years after joining to orden to hear it, the gap varies depending on their willpower and the level of their interaction with the darkspawn.
Calling is painful and it is annihilate the man(elf, dwarf)))). Horrific nightmares, the replacement of his own blood by corruption, the loss of his personality. Grey Warden descends underground to Deep Roads to slay as many darkspawn as they can before being overwhelmed and slain. Maybe so, maybe the process will go so far that the Warden joining to darkspawns...a lottery.
And let go of a loved alone, in order to be torn to pieces and eaten...everyone decides for himself. White-haired decided that it is better to do it himself. Killing beloved, that he did not suffer...that not to give up him to the darkness. Gwen lived not long after that.
I tried to be brief))))
This is a very interesting game: amazing story, vivid characters, wonderful world. If you decide to play it, I'm envy you)) because you have still all ahead!

Wow thanks for the wonderful explanation. That makes perfect sense. It makes sense why he made it as quick as possible. Her face looks rather peaceful.
