I wrote that under the picture : This chapel has been built in 1962 near the lake of Roselend (Savoy). It's the exact image of the one who had been swallowed up by the construction of the dam

We are happy to see such a beautiful lake, but it's sad too, because many dams that were built have swallowed villages and it was a disaster especially for old people. In this link, you can see the ancient village of Roselend who has been swallowed. [link]

Never heart of that. It's a huge disaster ! We have sometimes landslides too at spring, but they are rather small, not comparable to this one.
