... Why does everyone assume that a character someone draws is a character from something?

Anyways, really like this.  Your style is pretty awesome.

Beause this looks exactly like Mikasa from Shingeki No Kyojin
Also she has this scarf which is really characteristic for her!

A scarf is characteristic of a ton of other characters, not just Mikasa.  The only similarities between the drawing and Mikasa are quite literally that both have short hair, and both wear a scarf.  Why isn't Mikasa compared to every other short-haired character with a scarf?  Why is Mikasa the only one this is compared to?  That's the problem.  The similarities end at those two things.  It's just people that don't have anything constructive to say trying to say something they think the artist would like to hear, when in reality it just annoys artists.

Please, don't reply to year old comments.

It's not only the lenght, the whole hairstyle and colour looks like hers. It's not only a scarf, it's a red scarf like Mikasa always wears it, also it's in the spotlight, which would mean a lot, if it really was Mikasa, since the scarf has a special meaning to her. (Don't want to spoiler here~) The answer is simple: It just really really looks like her. It would fit perfectly.
You can't say it annoys the artist, maybe that would be the case, if you drew it. To be honest, I really doubt this artist even reads the comments. I don't think, people just want to say anything to caress the artist. When they ask, if this is Mikasa, maybe they just want to know, if this is Mikasa. Ever thought about that?

Oh, I didn't look at the time the comment was posted. I just wanted to be so kind and answer your question, I didn't know you only wanted to caress the artist instead of getting a serious reply.

"I really doubt any artist even reads the comments."

You can't be serious.

No one "asked" if this was Mikasa, they said it looks like her.  It doesn't.  Not even a little bit.  The fact that they both have a red scarf and short hair, again, doesn't mean anything.
Please, stop trying to make a defense for yourself and others.  You're only making it look worse.  You complain and say that they're not just trying to 'caress' the artist and then go on to say that the artist doesn't even read the comments?  Seriously?  What, do you think they just post their artwork here for people to steal and make prints and copies of it?  It's not like they post it to forget about it, they're looking for feedback and support.  They want to know that people like what they do.

Artists don't read the comments, my god... it's like you've never spoken to an artist before.

If you quote me, do it right. I never said that.
My exact words were: "To be honest, I really doubt this artist even reads the comments." THIS artist. only this one. His name is 是白发控 and I know a ton of asian artists, who just post their work without reading the comments, since they don't understand english in many cases. I can't tell you, if THIS artist reads the comments or not, but since he doesn't reply, not even the questions, I doubt it. That's all, I doubt it. It means I am not sure, but I don't think so.

"No one "asked" if this was Mikasa, they said it looks like her." - Please go to the deviation again and read the comments. In fact noone said, it looked like her, the only Mikasa comment is: "Amazing! Is that SnK's Mikasa?" A question.
Feel free to think what you want, but for me it looks like Mikasa and reading the other comments, I am not alone with this opinion. I don't know why this upsets you so much.
"The fact that they both have a red scarf and short hair, again, doesn't mean anything." Please go back to my last comment and read it again. I don't like repeating. Practically everything about her looks like Mikasa, but there's still the possibility, that it isn't her. I can't tell. But instead of crying "no no this doesn't looklike her", why don't you just tell me, what makes you think it doesn't look like her? Is it the fact that she's smiling? Do her ears look different? Tell me! owo
"Please, stop trying to make a defense for yourself and others.  You're only making it look worse." what are you even talking about? xD I don't need a defense. I think this drawn character looks like a character from an anime. There's nothing wrong about it.
"You complain and say that they're not just trying to 'caress' the artist and then go on to say that the artist doesn't even read the comments?" Ugh. I didn't complain. Yes, actually there are people, who ask a question to get a reply. I am such a person. If I comment a deviation with the question "Is that Mikasa?" I actually want to know if this is Mikasa and I don't intend to caress the artist with this question. I don't know what you intend by asking, but reading your reaction, you clearly don't want a serious answer.
"What, do you think they just post their artwork here for people to steal and make prints and copies of it?" Most famous artists don't even upload their pictures in a resolution that would fit for a print and watermark their works. There are many reasons for uploading stuff to deviantart. One is of course making friends and chat with people. But do you see any replies by OXMiruku? He could use deviantart for selling his prints, getting commissioned or just getting known, sothat fans buy his prints. again, don't misundertstand me. he COULD. of course,I know nothing sure. Maybe he even reads the comments and doesn't reply? also possible. All I said was that I doubt it.
"It's not like they post it to forget about it, they're looking for feedback and support." This may be true for a ton of artists on deviantart. But I also know some, who don't look for feedback. Actually there's a person, who even complained about it. She said she's content with her work and doesn't want viewers to constantly comment what they don't like about it.

"Artists don't read the comments, my god... it's like you've never spoken to an artist before." Actually I am an artist. ò_ó And as you can see, I read my comments, I even take the time to argue with someone about the outer appearence of an anime character. What am I doing with my life xD

Jesus Christ, you have problems.  Go to school.

Elanory In reply to Kohou [2014-10-03 04:39:02 +0000 UTC]

I finished the highest school available in Germany. I know how to discuss and what a question is good for. I even know that you cannot quote a person and just change the content. I know how to reply to content and not just randomly flame people. I could go on with this forever, but I know this isn't worth my time.
..Wait, none of these points apply for you? Who's the one who should go to school?

And yes, I've got problems, like everyone does. Just are mine a little bit more essential than yours, as it seems. If I may quote: "Why is Mikasa the only one this is compared to?  That's the problem."

I am finished here, have a good time, Sir.

No, you were finished to moment you started.  Do you seriously believe graduating the "highest school available in Germany" means anything to anyone on the internet?
Or in the real world, for that matter?

Your priorities are all out of whack, it shows in your horribly roundabout and terribly formatted rebuttals.  You weren't "finished here", you were hoping I was because you just want the last word.
You're just another snot-nosed kid with special snowflake syndrome.

Haha, I am sure it doesn't mean anything to you xD

I don't know, what you are talking about. I am pretty content with my private life, but thank you for your interest. Formatted rebuttals are nice things, they allow you to hold an actual conversation that is not won by who can flame the best. I don't see any from your side, so I am not interested in keeping up this conversation. I would just like to know what exactly is this special snowflake syndrome? I've never heard of it.

Elanory In reply to Kohou [2014-10-04 00:27:36 +0000 UTC]

Sigh. I see this doesn't lead to anything.

I just want to give you some tips.
1) Don't get mad, because I replied to an old comment. I stayed nice the whole time, but you were just trying to pick a fight.
2) If you want to discuss, do it right. Don't just change everything the opposing person said and hope he won't notice. This will not let you seem any more serious and your whole point will lose credibility.
3) Let people have their own opinions. If they already state that they're fine with you believing something else, don't push it further. I mean it was about an anime figure that doesn't even exist. What could be more unimportant? Accept other people, otherwise you will get some serious issues in your life.
4) Never never never flame people. No matter for what reason. You might regret it horribly.

If you follow these tips, you might have it easier in life and find friends faster. I wish you all your hatred will shrink and good luck <3

Kohou In reply to Elanory [2014-10-04 03:31:28 +0000 UTC]

1) Being a passive aggressive shit isn't the same as being nice.  Learn that fast, or you're going to have a lot of trouble in life regardless of what crappy school you tell everyone you graduated from.
2) If you want to hold a discussion, make sure there's something to be discussed.  What I said is right, and that's all there is to it.  What kind of semantics or personal feelings you want to tack on are totally irrelevant.
3) I don't give a damn about your opinion because your opinion wasn't wanted, needed, or accurate.  It was based on how you feel, which is fine normally, but not in a case where you are just wrong.
4) I've yet to regret calling a dumbass on the internet a dumbass.

Burn in hell.
