Aww, boarder collies? They're adorable, wish I could have my boarder collie with me, but there's no room for him to run around. These guys are just adorable!

Yep!
I don't know what I'd do without my BC...

Thanks!

I know! I miss my Murphy so much! But there's no room for him to run around at my apartment, and you can't keep a BC somewhere they can't run around or herd anything for that matter!

Definitely!
It's going to be tough when I get out on my own (mooching as long as I can haha) but I think I've got a good method figured out so he'll cope fine (if not better as I'll have more time for him then)

Can you share your method? Maybe I can get my dog home with it!

I'd likely be working 8 hour days 5 days per week. At a job that I wont have to "bring home" with me.

The area I'd be living in has an off-leash park that is rather unconventional.
It has wooded trails opposed to just a simple fenced in area.
I take my BC there a few times per week which lets off a lot of steam for him.

I'd also be taking him on at least an hour on on-leash walking daily.

Combined with 2 hours per week of agility classes. And trial weekends once or twice per month.

2 hours of obedience classes weekly. Plus in-home obedience training.

This is actually more than he gets now due to time restraints. The only thing that differs is the yard size and second dog here.

Thanks! A few modifications and maybe I can bring Murphy home with me! I've got some parks around my apartment, but they're not very wooded or off the leash, but the buildings I live in are in a wooded area and I'm sure I can find somewhere to let him off the leash, he hates leashes, but responds well to voice commands (I'm originality from a sheep farm, but Murphy's getting older and my folks had to get a new puppy to help). Thanks for the advice! Maybe my BC can come home with me!

Best of Luck!
We once had a "rescue" BC that was a former sheep herder. We got her at around age 6, it took her a while to become accustomed to the non-herding life. However she did eventually settle in fine.
