Train tracks are often used as a symbol of change, or a journey, a means of escape to somewhere else far away from here. Taking a picture on a train track captures a moment in time, a point on that journey, a milestone on a path of change. There's also something about the parallel nature of the rails, they can go on for ever without ever meeting, like people sometimes, sharing a journey without ever really connecting.
Sometimes it's just a nice backdrop for a photograph.
There's a nice contrast here, you look very much alike, and yet very different.
