Description
Last night, there was one hell of a storm outside. I don't quite know how we didn't lose power. The sky was pretty much screaming, and lightning illuminated the whole house. I was ready for the tornado watch/warning alert at any time on my phone. We all feel like that on the inside sometimes, too, don't we? On the brink of disaster, crying like the clouds were.
This morning, on the other hand, is beautiful. Glistening with dew, the sun christening them as diamonds, the bushes flourishing, and even a little spider made a big web outside our door. Little fella, big dreams! I absolutely had to step outside to see if I could find anything that particularly appealed to me to photograph.
It was not even over the course of 12 hours, that literal night-and-day swap: terrifying to beautiful. Time is such a complicated thing, an impalpable gas pedal that leads us through darkness and light alike, to places we can be very surprised to end up at. There are short stops, stalls, and some periods seem to pass at light speed, but what is consistent is, well, it. It does not stop, and it is always changing. You are subject to time, too. All you experience is temporary, and know that that includes your darkest days. It will all pass; give it time. ♥
