Description Their crystalline souls once twinkled,
encapsulated in a cage soundless, thoughtless,
the rage of tears frozen. Their spectres
studied by intellectuals intending to unravel
this Tuberculosis of the intellect;
its granuloma hides secrets incisions cannot bare,
nor antibiotics tempering fiery, sharp thoughts.

Blackened, their ashes wander listlessly
the winding patchwork of their minds,
of their flesh hollowed by cruel objectivity
glinting behind reflective lenses,
hopelessly magnifying the invisible,
yet indelible, intrinsic to the whole
quietly reforming in their soundless, thoughtless cage.

Goodness this is beautiful, imouto.

The layering you've done here is marvelous, and yes, somehow reminds me of the impeccable poetry of *Carmalain7

Thank you!

Layering, whether in imagery or meaning is always what I strive to achieve in my pieces. By the sounds of it, it wasn't too overwhelming, nor distracting, so that's good

Now that's the cherry on the top to hear that! Recently I got back the results from my English exam, and damn, I must've gotten full marks in the creative writing section to do that well, so my preparation was worth it. Or perhaps their standard for essays were lower than expected, because I know that in comparison to what my teacher expects they were certainly lacking.

And you faved this piece aswell? I might faint...

You're so welcome, sweetheart!
I love how this piece made me feel so much like we all emerge out of our chrysalis in due time and, how when we break free from our chrysalis and past, it becomes a tangible proof of our survival and thing of beauty and of lessons to ponder upon as well.

You're a marvel, imouto. I swear you have pixie dust in you.

I do like the sound of this pixie dust *throws some glitter around*

Though really, add of dash of poetry to my way of seeing and making sense of things and bam, down the rabbit hole we go

I'll have to try and work harder to get you sold from the very first three lines, eh? But thank you! What exactly about the piece sold you that you ed it (again, thanks), and what is your interpretation?
