Description Glass shards hang from ears
delicately formed on swan like necks,
an achingly arched scimitar
unsheathed mercilessly.

Soundlessly, the fangs extend
a necklace glittering white,
descending upon bosoms exposed
and unprotected.

Sharpened, hellish heels
click loudly, each carefully aimed
shot reaches targets frozen,
already entranced.

Protected, the wary clasp
spiked chains of bracelets, knowing
that although alluring in form
beauty is a weapon.

This piece somewhat reminded me of the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" This was quite a refreshing written perspective regarding the subject, objective tone and all
You certainly helped shed a more technical light on beauty and all its lethal devices
I absolutely love the last line, albeit being cliche as the rest of the piece was entirely original and very much your own
Although I certainly did enjoy the read and thank you for offering a new angle to look at beauty from, I agree with you that there can be so much more to say and that you really should try your hand at writing lengthier poetry pieces every now and then. If you ever do decide to expand on this, give me a holla as I'd love to see what you'd make out of this interesting piece!

I was actually thinking about that movie while writing this!! Especially regarding "hellish heels"

Argh, why oh why is that line a cliche? I try to avoid them, but it seemed the most obvious way to point out the theme that was used throughout

And of course I'll holla when I decide to lengthen this!
