i did it with 3dsmax and the plugin Afterburn (which i used for the clouds). I rendered the clouds with Vray and after that i modeled the typo and then i put them together in photoshop and added the effects, colors and the background.. was much work : >

i can imagine! i'm now trying the new 3D functions in photoshop cs3 extended and i must say i can make something like this (clouds on a pic lol letters in 3d) pretty easy, i sugest you get it

yeah but its no alternative to 3dsmax .. just a little funtion nothing more. You wont get serious results with that imo

just started to do it i think two years ago .. i was curious and learned it by myself.. after a while i started to do some tutorials and bla bla bla .. i tried to push myself every time ^^

Γ€hhhh die wolken im vordergrund sind gerendert ja ;D ! das hintergrund bild ist einfach nen stock (dieser kleine teil himmel) ... die buchstaben sind aber auch gerendert. Die sonne als lichtquelle ist mit ps hinzugefΓΌgt
